I’ve been making knives like these for years now- captivated by the simple lines, materials, and blade shape, I’ve fallen in love with these knives.

A twist on the centuries-old tradition of ‘Puukko’ knives from Scandinavia, the tradition of a simple, ‘zero’ grind bevel blade combined with antler and timber, this example is a pretty special mix of Bimble Box burl, Reindeer antler, and leather spacers.

The blade is made in a bespoke facility in the tiny village of Karesuando in Lapland in the very north of Sweden which has about 300 inhabitants. Karesuandokniven AB was funded in 1975. Situated some 250 km north of the Arctic Circle, on the same latitude as central Greenland and the northernmost parts of Canada the village got its first permanent settlement in 1670. The reindeer herd there is one of the area's largest industries and Karesuando is located in the Könkämä Sami village's reindeer husbandry area.

The handle for this knife is timber burl and is something special- the Bimble Box looks just amazing. Paired with genuine Reindeer antler and leather- it feels incredible in the hand.

Comes with a handmade sheath, parting from tradition, in a simple ‘western’ shape- it can be ordered left or right-handed. Made with stout, veg-tanned leather, with a double welt for safety- finished with hand stitching and riveted belt loop.

Presentation box included.
